• Description

The liqueur based on anise with liquorice and aromatic Provencal herbs. It has a unique taste and aroma. Having been filtered Pastis 51 de Marseille is lightly sweetened and coloured with caramel. The liquor is served with water as aperitif before meals because it works up the appetite. After adding water Pastis becomes hazy and then milky. This is because of the substance responsible for the anise smell, anise camphor which is released.
